Long Plain/Arrowhead Development Corporation Contract Sparrow Management to Manage New Wyndham Hotel in Winnipeg
Long Plain First Nation, Treaty 1 Territory – Chief Dennis Meeches and Council would like to introduce Ben Sparrow, of Sparrow Management as the chosen group to manage the new Wyndham Garden Hotel in Winnipeg’s first urban reserve.
Established in 1937, Sparrow Hotels is one of Canada’s oldest and most reputable hotel management companies. Sparrow Hotels employs more than 400 full and part-time staff in Winnipeg.
In 2004 Sparrow Hotels developed Inn at the Forks, a 117-room full-service boutique hotel that features Smith Restaurant, Riverstone Spa and full meeting and conference facilities. Inn at the Forks is located within The Forks National Historic Site in Downtown Winnipeg.
In addition to Inn at the Forks, Sparrow Hotels owns and operates The Norwood Hotel in St. Boniface, Winnipeg. The Norwood Hotel is a full-service hotel featuring Pauline Bistro, The Wood Tavern, Carousel Gaming Lounge, full meeting and conference services, and the Norwood Beer Store. In 2019 Sparrow Hotels founded a new catering company: CIRCA Catering. Currently CIRCA provides all food services within the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Inuit Art Centre, and FortWhyte Alive.
The Wyndham Garden Winnipeg is expected to include a total of 132-guestrooms offering a variety of guestroom sizes and bed configurations appealing to both commercial and leisure guests.
